Livapasa Mansion and Museum of Ethnography
Livapasa Mansion which is one of
the nicest example of civic architecture exclusively built in 1870 by Mir Liva
Sadik Pasha. Mansion was expropriated by the Ministry of Culture in 1979.
Repair
and restoration work began in 1985 and mansion was opened in 1997 as the Museum
of Ethnography .
Upper Floor was arranged
as a museum home with the bride bed
room, living room, head room, daily room (men), guest room, daily room (women).
Ethnographic works are
exhibited at the upper floor halls.
Middle Floor: Arts reflecting Kastamonu such as hand crafts,
wooden objects, textiles, clothing and weapons, printing, shoemaking,
saddle-harness, ropery, copper are exhibited.
