Cleopatra Gate

Located at the entrance of Tarsus district and built in during the Roman period.

The edge of the gate is in a shape of horseshoe and height is 6.17 m and depth of the gate is 6.18 m.

When the famous queen of Egypt came to Tarsus to meet her dear Roman General Antonius enter the city from this gate therefore this gate has been named as the Gate of Cleopatra
