Seyhan Dam

Dam, built in 1956 in order to protect Adana and 850.000 acres of land against any possible floods from Seyhan River. Located 15 km away from the old Adana city. 174.000 hectares of land are irrigated via Seyhan Dam.

As much as being a dam, the green areas around the dam are also used as picnic areas,recreational spots where people run away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Minibuses and public buses frequently operates from city center to these areas.
