Dogubeyazit Castle

Situated 7 kma way from the Dogubeyazit district just very close the Ishak Pasha palace on a steep cliff.

The exact built date of the castle is not known however a tomb in the castle with a relief shows that castle probably built in Urartian period. The castle has been dominated by many civilizations throughout the history and The Ottoman Sultan, Yavuz Sultan Selim conquered the castle during the Caldiran war.
