Hakkari Rock Drawings and carvings

Thousands of  scraped and drawn rock images which found in the Gevaruk and Tirsin Plateus in the west of Hakkari are like the masterpieces in an open air museum.  

The rock pictures and carwings date back to 6000-1000 B.C.

A large portion of the pictures  drawn and carved are the  mountain goats, bison and a variety of traps used in the hunt with hunting scenes, animals, motives about the magics and stylized figures.
