Cesme is a  district of Izmir  city  which attracting hundreds of thousands people both from Turkey and Europe every summers.

Cesme located at the  furthest western point of Izmir peninsula.  Seferihisar located just south of Cesme district is also another important summer holiday district mostly visited by Turkish people. Places such as Alacati and mordogan  are also getting popular with and increased number of visitors .

Cesme  is a district known with 2 important places. City centrum of Cesme and Ilica.

Historical narrow streets , typical , traditional houses , colourful  and  lively bazaar . Any type of accommodation facilities from pensions to 5 star resorts with long sandy beaches , natural bays and strong  winds attracting the  windsurfers and unforgettable night life of Cesme  make the Cesme city centrum a real holiday paradise.

The cesme  name of the city ( fountain in Turkish ) was derived from The historical old  fountains which were built and used to supply water for the seamen. Most of the fountains giving the name to cesme still stands and seen in many parts of the district.

How to go Cesme

District is very easily accessed via highway between izmir and Cesme.

Popular beaches of Cesme are ; Boyalik koyu , aya yorgi beach , Sifne |Buyuk liman| pasa limani , Ciftlikkoy and pirlanta plaji ( diamond beach ) , Catazmak beach
