Kirklareli museum
Built in 1894 by the local governors Haci Mestan Efendi and visited by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in 1930. The building was used as a municipality building until 1962 and it was deserted untill 1980’s . To protect the building old , ruined view; Restorations and renovations regularly made until it’s totally complete in 1993.
Museum officialy opened in 1994 to the visitors. It’s a two storey building except basement with vaulted windows embed to all 4 sides and there is a small terrace stands over four columns at the entrance gate .
Archaeology and ethnography sections of the museum are in the second floor and cultural pieces are exhibited in the first floor .
There are a total of 3507 registered antiques and pieces which consist of 515 ethnographic, 1110 archeological and 1882 coins are exhibited in the museum.
It is opened to visitors every day except Monday mornings
