Gumushane , located  in the eastern Black sea part of Black sea region, surrounded with Bayburt in the East, Giresun in the west, Trabzon in the north, Erzincan in the south.

The Surface area of the Gumushane is 6.575 square kilometers and population of the city is approximately  132.374

The districts of Gumushane city are ; Torul, Kurtun, Siran, Kelkit, Kose, Gumushane.
