Where is Sanliurfa ?

Sanliurfa, located  in the  southeastern Anatolia Region, is the 7th largest city of Turkey in view of surface area. Average altitude of Sanliurfa is 518 mt. The neighbour cities of Sanliurfa are; Mardin in the east, Gaziantep in the west, Adiyaman in the north, Diyarbakir in the northwest. Sanliurfa is also bordered with Syria in the south.

The Surface area of the Sanliurfa is 18.584 square kilometers and population of the city is approximately 1.781.000 people.

The districts of  Sanliurfa city are; Siverek, Hilvan, Bozova, Halfeti, Birecik, Suruc, Akcakale, Harran, Ceylanpinar, Viransehir, Sanliurfa.
