Antalya Beaches

Beach tourism, which attracts millions of tourists from all around the world, is the most important attraction of Antalya city.

Antalya, which is the most important tourism center of Turkey, has 640 km long sea coast with numerous nice beaches and bays.

Especially on the west coast of Antalya, sea is quiet deep and beaches are not very proper to use  due to the mountain range which lies vertically to the seaside however beaches in Kemer, Tekirova, Kumluca, Finike, Demre and Kas are a bit better in view of their quality, length, naturality and facilities available.

Here is the list of most famous beaches in Antalya ;

Eastern Beach; Located on the east of Alanya on the Antalya and Mersin Highway. This beach consist of a 14 km long beach together with Keykubat beach.

Sorgun Beach is one of the best beach of Antalya. On the way to Manavgat, if you follow the signs on the south direction you will reach a lovely, natural beach among the peanut trees.

Koru Beach is in the koru street of Gazipasa district. There are 3 natural pools available in the beach which 2 of them are very suitable for the ones who start to learn swimming.

Lara Beach , which is 12 km on the east of Antalya, covered with pine trees has fine sand. Public beaches, private beaches, food and beverage facilities, Sun lounge, parasols, change cabins and many more facilities are available in Lara beach.

Karpuzkaldiran Beach, which is in the west of Lara beach where Duden fall flows to sea, used as a military summer camp area.

Adalar Beach , a rocky beach located in Karaalioglu park. Basic facilities for eating and resting are available in the beach.

Mermerli Beach , is just under the mermerli park is a nice beach to spend  time.

Konyaalti Beach , is a 1,5 long, pebbled and sandy beach located  3km on the west of  Antalya. Hotels, public beaches and many more facilities attract thousands to Konyaalti beach.

Resat Island Beaches, located 15 km away from Antalya on the way to kemer. Beach is a natural beach  covered with pine trees also used as a picnic area. Starts from Kemerbeldibi and extends to Tekirova.

Phaselis Beach is a unique beach where history, nature, mountain, sea, forest, shallow water and fine sands can be seen all in once.

Tekirova Seacoast , The rocky and sandy beaches , wild natural beauties and wonderfull scented orange gardens just by the Seaside of Tekirova are worth to see.

Finike Beaches, there are many natural sandy beaches with superb facilities in Finike district offer a wonderfull holiday for sunseekers.

Adrasan Beach is a great natural, fine sandy beach with stunning views.

Patara Beach , a specially protected beach is situated in ovagelemis district, 45 km away from city center, on the Kas – Fethiye road. Patara is the longest( 15 km) and widest (800m) beach of Turkey.

weather in antalya in April
Weather is very risky in April. You can either spend your days under the sunhsine with an average of 30 C temperatures or ruin your days in the hotel due to the heavy rain and storms.

Antalya has tens of wonderfull long sandy beaches but sea getting so deep in a few steps is enough for me to stay away from Antalya beaches, my favourite beaches and swimmable sea are in Marmaris.
