Alanya Archaeological Museum

Alanya Archaeological Museum was opened in 1967 with the artifacts belong to Bronze Age, Urartian, Phrygian and Lydian periods and which brought from Ankara Anatolian civilizations museum. The collection of the museum has enriched and expanded in the next years with the artifacts found in the excavations made in the area. Museum has also a section seperated for the etnography museum.

The oldest artifact found around Alanya and  exhibited in the Archaeological section is a stone inscription in the Phoenician language which dates back to 625 B.C. The most important historical artifact of the museum is the bronze Statue of Heracles from 2nd century A.D

Everyday is opened only excepts on Mondays ; from 08:00-12:00 / 13:30 – 17:30
