Alanya Castle

Alanya castle,which has been a continuous inhabited citadel for centuries, is one of the best preserved mediaval castle due to its natural protection and hardly reached location both from land and sea.

Alanya castle is like an open air museum with its 6.5 long defending walls, almost 140 towers,400 cisterns and decorated, inscribed Gates.

The castle was built by the Seljuks in 13th century, today is the symbol of Alanya and always takes a part in the promotional videos and pictures of Alanya.

When you walk up to the castle, you will see the restaurants and cafes where you can take a breath, drink something and watch the wonderfull view of Alanya. The walk to the castle takes almost 1 hour and you must be carefull in some parts while there is no proper walking way available.

April - October: 09:00 – 19:30

November – March: 08:30 – 17:30
