Alacati is now one of the world's most important centers of windsurfing. Many international competitions are organized in town.  Alacati has the cleanest sea and most beautiful beaches of the  Mediterranean coast. Yumru bay (where many Wind surf clubs are available) has a distance of  1900 meter   from coast to coast.  Three sides of the field are surrounded with lands and only the southern part is opened.Therefore  area is very safe.  In this bay, as well as windsurfing,  kite surfing  is mostly made activity.

Alacati's narrow cobblestone streets lined with  single-storey stone houses.  Typical Old stone houses of Alacati is one of the most important economic value of the area.

Alacati is  approximately 70 miles  away from Izmir city center and  Adnan Menderes Airport is in a distance of 90 km. drive away  from Alacati . transportation from the airport and city to Cesme via highway takes about half an hour.  

Alacati bazaar which is set up on Saturdays ranked among the top ten markets of Turkey in terms of  diversity and richness of goods . Almost 500 small and big  selling  benches offers hundreds of different  goods .

Besides this big market an antique market sets three times in a week in the old bazaar location . Antique bazaar is a good place for  the special interest owners. You can buy a good quality antique with reasonable prices.
