What is the local currency of Turkey ?

The local currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira

banknotes: 5, 10, 20, 50 & 100 TL; coins: 10, 25 & 50 kurus and 1 TL. You can change money from exchange offices, banks or hotels. I reccomnend you to change money from the banks as the rates are a bit lower in exchange offices and hotels. Mostly Us dollar and euro Banknotes are easyly exchanged.

You can check the currency rate from ;     www.xe.com

which money to use in Turkey ?
if you want to spend less and save some money you've gotta have Turkish money since the payments in euro generally cost higher due to the changebla currency rates. But do not forget to use a calculator to understand how much you spend in Euros Dollars or Sterlins

turkish money will be one of the strongest money in the future after dollar euro and british pound. TUrkey has an unstoppebla economic growth every year. when tens of developed countries evonomically suffer TUrkey just steps up . right now i do not think the currency rates of turkish money gainst euro does not reflect the reality.
