Birecik

when you go to Birecik a castle built on a limestone hill height 56 mt greets you. birecik is a known place with its old houses , kelaynak birds (bald ibis )  a specie of bird which is almost extincted.. old travellers houses were built on the slopes following each other for 2 km and in the middle of these houses the glorious castle was raising . unfortunately today almost all houses were gone and the castle is not well preserved. birecik is almost 1 hour far from urfa especially the kelaynak birds worth to see as we think the specie is in danger of extinction.
