Philadelphia Church

Philadelphia which  is one of  the seven churches mentioned in the Bible located in Alasehir district of Manisa Province . 

The Philadelphia city was founded by King Attalus  II of Pergamon (150-138 BC).  Philadelphia which was an important city  during the  Pergamon kingdom period had protected its importance and even flourished in Roman Empire period.

Philadelphia had become a place  where the disciples of st. Paul gathered after the spread of christianity in 40 A.D therefore one of the seven churches of christianity built in the Philadelphia .
