Steam Kebab ( 6 people)
Ingredients
1.5 kg thin , long aubergines
5 green peppers , finely sliced
4 small tomatoes
For the meatballs;
½ kg minced meat
1 egg
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
3 slices bread without crust
Salt, black pepper
For the sauce;
3 tomatoes , oil , 1 tea glass water and salt
Preparation
Cut the aubergines in half and slice lengthwise. Soak the slices in
salted water. Meanwhile prepare the meatballs. Mix all the ingredients and
knead. Take small pieces off from the mixture and round them off. Place them in a pyrex bowl and cook at 200
degrees in the oven.
Meanwhile fry the aubergine slightly in heated oil. Put two slices
aubergines in a small bowl crosswise and place a meatball in the middle and wrap.
Turn the bowls upside down and place the wrap on a tray. Top it with a slice of
each tomato and pepper and stick a toothpick through. Cook the wrapped
meatballs at 200 degrees .
For the sauce ; peel the tomates and grate them. Fry them lightly in a little oil,
add water and let them boil. After boiling them for a short time add salt and pour
the sauce over the dish.
