Red Valley
Red valley, located in the centre of Cappadocia region is in a distance of 3km to Goreme open air museum, 5 km to Urgup, 2 km to Ortahisar and 1 km to Cavusin districts.
The dirt road passing through the village of Cavusin will take you to two natural wonders called Gulludere and Kizilcukur (red pit).
Although there is an uneven road available where you can drive into valley, It is recommended to have a hike into these valleys. During the hike, you will be able to hear the singing birds and experience the ultimate tranquility. There are also churches carved into the rocks and it is believed that the first christians who followed John the baptist lived and worshipped in these carved churches.
Red valley offers an impressive view of the sunset. Sun, hitting the deep, meandering, red slopes of valley creates a riot of colours which change every each minute. When you close your eyes for a minute and open it again you will see a different colour reflection of sun in the valley.
