Erzurum Yakutiye Madrasa
It was built in 1310 AD by Cemaleddin Hoxha Yakut. Madrasa occupies a separate and special place with its muqarnas design (System of projecting niches used for zones of transition and for architectural decoration) among another 150 madrasa built in the same period . It is one of the rare structure remained today from the Ilkhanid period.
Yakutiye Madrasa is a masterpiece that must be seen . It is used as the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Works and Ethnography and variety of ethnographic works are exhibited in the museum.
