Skiing in Turkey

Turkey has become a very important center for winter tourism with tens of thousands domestic and foreign tourists who are coming to ski centres.

In particular, the Russian and European tourists prefer Turkey for winter tourism. Especially Russian tourists prefer to go to the ski centers of Erzurum Palandoken  and Bursa Uludag.

Almost 20 large and small sized ski centres are available in Turkey.  Most of the ski resorts provide high quality services such as easy transportation , good quality ski-runs , comfortable accomodation etc.

Transportation to Ski centers can be organized by tour companies or you can drive with your private car.  When the weather conditions considered in ski centres tire chains must be taken and put in the individual cars.

If  you do no want to spend a night over a mountain a daily trip can be done to Ski centers . If you are planning to go and visit a ski centre only for a day. You should go as early as possible before the crowd starts and to spend the time as much as effective.

Ski centres and ski slopes start to run early in the morning like 08:00 -09:00 a.m and closed around 16:00 or 17:00  .

Running cable cars and ski liftsover the ski centres are managed by the local hotels from the area.  To take an advantage of these runs hotels require a fee .
