Kutahya Castle

A castle survived untill present day from Byzantine period which built on a high hill consists of three parts.

 Inner fortress together with upper and lower parts. Inner fortress was situated in the upper part of the castle and here is a small mosque, two warehouses, offices , military barracks ,cisterns and guard rooms were used for living .

Kutahya castle covers an area of 3500 mt has 75 bastions.

It takes almost 45 minutes to walk from City center up to the castle however it’s worth  when you see the unique panoramic view of the city and area.
